Education Sponsorship scheme
A new program of Education Sponsorship scheme to support orphaned Girls and those vulnerable Girls from poverty stricken families.
Background and justification on the importance of the Girl child Education.
The position of girls and women in most African Societies has been and still immensely compromised by stereotypes, prejudices, customs and discriminatory attitudes in favour of boys/men but against girls/women, which have immensely consequently resulted into Girls/Women being plunged into abyssal of poverty and miseries due to lack of education and any professional backgrounds thus making them to be vulnerable to sexual exploitation and abuse by wealthy men.
STRATEGIES OF THE SCHEME
Ø To pay school fees for bright and needy girls to continue with their High School Education as in Kaswanga Community many poor girls drop out of High Schools due to lack of school fees.
To provide the local school Girls both in Primary and High schools in the locality to improve their health and sanitary status i.e by provision of sanitary towels etc
